January 8, 2019

Happy New Year! I hope you spent your holiday with family and friends. I look forward to 2019 with great joy.

January is action packed with basketball games, fifth grade at Griffith Observatory, After School Enrichment activities, Parents’ Night Out, STAR Testing, iGen presentation with Jean Twenge, Ph.D., third grade at the Environmental Nature Center, fourth grade Walk Through California, Father-Daughter dance, eighth grade Pancake Breakfast, Catholic Schools Week, Open House, Book Fair, Grail Theatre, VIP Day, and Talent Show.

St. Juliana School Open House will be held on Sunday, January 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you are able, please join us for Mass at 9:00 a.m. Third and seventh grades will be assisting with preparation. Our eighth graders along with the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast. Please invite family and friends to visit the school to see the wonderful things your children are doing. Let’s all celebrate Catholic education.

Finally, please remember to refrain from using your cell phone in the carpool line. Follow all directions of the attendants on duty. The children must be everyone’s primary concern.

Problem of the month:

A bicycle tour group planned to travel 68 miles from Fullerton to Wrightwood, California. How long would the trip take if they averaged 17 miles per hour for the trip?

Happy Calculating.
