Accelerated Reading Quizzes

Renaissance Place (Accelerated Reader) currently has 139,286 quizzes available.  The quizzes are grouped in the following categories:  Lower Grade =LG,  Middle Grade=MG,  Middle Grade + = MG+, and Upper Grade=UG.

As a Catholic school, we adhere to our Mission Statement when choosing books for students. Please remember that because a quiz is available it does not mean it follows our Mission Statement.   Thank you for assisting your child when choosing a book at a public library or bookstore.  Remember to consider the interest level of a book when making your selections.

What is Interest Level (IL)?

Interest level is based on the content of a book and indicates age group appropriateness. Interest level designations reflect the judgment of the book's publisher and the professionals at Renaissance Learning. We group content appropriateness into four categories:

LG = Lower Grades (K-3);

MG = Middle Grades (4-8);

MG+ = Middle Grades Plus (6 and up);

and UG = Upper Grades (9-12).

The final decision as to whether the content of a specific book is appropriate for a particular student is the responsibility of school librarians, teachers, and parents.
